Law and Donohue Eager to Tackle Miami Grand Prix Field with Brumos Porsche Prototype
Rolex Grand American Sportscar series standout Darren Law and teammate David Donohue are preparing for the upcoming Miami Grand Prix to be held at Homestead-Miami Speedway, the weekend of February 26-28. Law is hopeful that he and his co-driver will take the #58 Red Bull liveried car to the winner's circle by the end of the 250 mile endurance contest.
"There's no doubt that the competition will be tough," said Law, "but we've got a great car and a terrific team, and I think the whole Brumos Porsche organization is pretty confident of our chances."
Since last year's race the Homestead track has changed with an increase in the degree of banking around the oval. The steeper banking will allow the cars to run harder through the oval portion of the course and should provide for a very close race. With 18 Daytona Prototypes entered for this event, which is three times the number of cars from last year, it will be an exciting race.
The Indy Racing League will be holding their season opening race along side the Grand American Rolex Series event promising to make a busy and exciting weekend for everyone involved.
"It's great to be racing along side a high profile series like the IRL," said Law, "and I think it just further shows the credibility of the Grand American Rolex Sportscar Series. I'm looking forward to the event, it's going to be great to be a part of it."
If you can't attend the race be sure to catch all the action on the Speed Channel as they broadcast the race tape delayed on Sunday, March 7, at 4 pm ET.
