Cosmo is heeding his doctors advice to give himself more time to heal after his recent nasal surgery.
Guy Cosmo announced today he will withdraw from the 2013 Rolex 24 at Daytona. Cosmo, full time driver for Extreme Speed Motorsports and Tequila Patron in the 2013 American Le Mans Series, was scheduled to lend his talents to defending Rolex Series GT Champions, AIM Autosport FXDD Racing With Ferrari.
"I'm extremely disappointed that I won't be able to compete in this year's Rolex 24 at Daytona," said Cosmo. "I'm a race car driver and I live to race. I've really been looking forward to working with the guys from AIM Autosport / FXDD. While I genuinely appreciate the opportunity to join them for this important race, it's best I take the advice of my doctors and cheer them on from home. Here's wishing a safe race to everyone participating this weekend."
Guy will rejoin his teammates from Extreme Speed Motorsports next month for the annual American Le Mans Series Winter Test at Sebring, February 7th.
