Weaver, Dyson Racing Win Championships On Goodyear Tires

Rolex Grand American Sports Car Series: James Weaver, driving on Goodyear Eagles, clinched the SR1 driving championship and Dyson Racing won the team owner title as the season ended at Daytona International Speedway. Weaver and co-driver Butch Leitzinger won the race in their Dyson-owned, Ford-powered Riley&Scott.

Hurley Haywood and Andy Wallace finished second in their Goodyear-shod Champion Racing Porsche. Elliott Forbes-Robinson teamed with Chris Dyson and Rob Dyson to finish fifth overall in their Goodyear-equipped Riley&Scott.

Weaver and Leitzinger averaged 111.185 mph during the chase around the 3.56-mile road course through the infield of the famed racing facility.

Early in the weekend, it was announced that two members of the Goodyear family of companies, the Goodyear Tire & Rubber Company and Dunlop Tyres, will be the only suppliers for the Rolex Grand American Road Racing Series starting next season.
