Rolex Sports Car Series:

David Donohue and Mike Borkowski won their first race of the season when they co-drove their Porsche-Fabcar to the overall victory in the Rolex Sports Car Series Grand American 400 at California Speedway in Fontana, Calif.

Hurley Haywood and J.C. France finished second in their Porsche Fabcar. The Fabcars competed in the Daytona Prototype class. The Ford Mustang driven by Tommy Riggins and Dave Machavern finished first in the GTS class and third overall.

Goodyear-equipped cars filled the first five finishing positions as Terry Borcheller and Forest Barber finished fourth overall in their Daytona Prototype Chevrolet Doran and the GTS class Mosler driven by Joao Barbosa and Justin Bell finished fifth overall and second in the GTS class.

The winners averaged 98.043 mph during the 89-lap chase around the 2.8-mile road course.

"Our Goodyear tires performed very well," Riggins said. "We had good grip all day long...In fact, the last time I pitted, we didn't have to change tires. We did, but we didn't have to."
