This weekend at Connecticut’s historic Lime Rock Park, Ferrari won the 2012 Rolex Grand-Am Series Manufacturers’ Championship, Team Championship, and Drivers’ Championship trophies with the Ferrari 458 Italia. Driven by the AIM Autosport Team FXXD, the Ferrari 458 Italia’s statistics while winning this Series are an impressive testament to its durability and stamina: over 11,300 track miles covered, every lap completed with 8 podium finishes.

“The race track is truest test of a sports car’s ultimate performance and endurance, and the Ferrari 458 Italia has performed flawlessly in this competition as it does with the rigors of use on the streets,” says Marco Mattiacci, President & CEO, Ferrari North America. “ winning the 2012 Rolex Grand-Am Series Manufacturers’ Championship for the third time reminds our clients, fans and competition that nothing brings the passion of racing to everyday driving like a Ferrari,” continues Mattiacci.

Since its introduction in late 2009, the 458 Italia has been met with universal appraise and countless awards for its capabilities, and is widely considered to be the world’s benchmark sports car. Together with the 458 Spider, California, FF, and the recently introduced F12berlinetta – the fastest, most powerful Ferrari road car ever offered – the Ferrari model line offers unparalleled exhilaration and performance for a range of lifestyles.
