FARNBACHER LOLES MOTORSPORTS SHINES AT DAYTONA TESTING DAYS

DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. (January 6, 2007) -- The Farnbacher Loles Motorsports team arrived at Daytona this week with four brand new Porsche 911 GT3 Cup cars, and a stable of world-class drivers, hoping to have three days of productive testing. They left having posted several of the fastest times of the weekend in the GT class and confidence that they were ready for the upcoming Rolex 24 at Daytona on January 26-27.

For the third time in three days, Dirk Werner posted the fastest time of a session with a 1:52.016 (114.412 mph) on Daytona's 3.56 mile road course -- a time that proved to be the second-quickest of the entire "Roar Before the 24." The No. 85 Farnbacher Loles/Recaro/Shoes for Crews Porsche was a front-runner once again, and with its top-notch team of drivers - Werner (Germany), Jorg Hardt (Germany), Pierre Ehrat (Santa Rosa, CA) and Leh Keen (Dublin, OH) -- it looks to be a true threat to reach the podium in three weeks.

"I'm very confident in the team and the car," said Werner after the final session of the day. "We really had no problems at all, and the car ran perfectly all weekend. The crew did great work preparing the cars and I'm looking forward to getting back here and on the track in three weeks." Werner will have plenty of practice for Daytona as he is participating in the 24 Hours of Dubai next week.

Farnbacher Loles Technical Director Horst Farnbacher was also pleased with the weekend. "The test was great. Other than slight issues with the tires, the cars ran smoothly. We came in here trying to find the best setup for the cars and are close. Dirk was very fast, as was Jorg. We really have a great team overall and have a chance to do well."

Craig Stanton (Long Beach, CA), a longtime veteran of the 24 Hours at Daytona, turned in the fifth-fastest time of the day of 1:53.615 (112.802 mph) in the No. 88 Racing for Research/Luxury and Exotics Porsche 911 GT3. He too was excited about his experience over the three days of testing. "Even with limited time to tweak the cars, I'd say that I was able to consistently hit the lap times that I was shooting for to run in the race," said Stanton. "I feel very good going in to the 24."

Overall, the Farnbacher Loles team posted four of the ten fastest times over the weekend, and the team as a whole is looking to transfer their success into a great Rolex 24 at Daytona in three weeks.

Gunnar Jeannette (West Palm Beach, FL), who drives in the No. 87 Recaro/Shoes for Crews Porsche 911 GT3 Cup car, summarized it best when he said, "We're all looking to get back here, get in to these great cars, and point it straight and go." reat weekend.
