Farnbacher Loles announces 2007 Rolex GT line-up
Coming off a strong performance in the Rolex 24 Hours of Daytona, including leading the GT Class for more than 15 hours, Farnbacher Loles Racing today announced a two-car effort for the full 2007 Grand American GT Series.
Team owner Gregory Loles was upbeat when discussing the effort. "I am pleased to announce we are running for the GT Class championship with a stellar driver line-up, a world-class crew and exceptional sponsors. At Daytona, we showed a lot of people our commitment in both resources and expertise. We led more laps than anyone else in the GT Class while showing consistent speed in every practice session as well. So we come into the season knowing we have the right tools to win. We will be campaigning two Porsche 997 GT3 Cups with number 85 driven by Grand Am standout and race winner Leh Keen and German ace and Daytona 24 Champion Dominik Farnbacher with sponsorship by Shoes For Crews and Recaro. The number 87 Porsche will be driven by American sportscar star and race winner Bryce Miller, and German endurance and sprint Champion Dirk Werner with sponsorship from Marquis Jet and Recaro. These four drivers are incredibly talented and are proven winners. We feel very optimistic about our potential for the season as we expect to be in the hunt for the 2007 driver's championship while helping Porsche capture the manufacturer's championship as well."
Added team technical director Horst Farnbacher, "We are very glad to have signed these four talented drivers to race for us this season. They have proven their ability and we will give them the best possible cars. We know the Porsche is capable of winning the championship and we now have the drivers who can do that, too."
