Elkhart Lake, WI (August 8, 2013) - "The Charlie's" will be back in action together in the GRAND-AM Rolex GT Audi R8 for the VisitFlorida.com Sports Car 250 this weekend at Road America with Fall-Line Motorsports. This longtime racing duo of Charles Espenlaub and Charlie Putman drove the new car during it's first outing with Fall-Line at Watkins Glen and returns again for this 2 hour 45 minute race.

Putman and Espenlaub drove In the Rolex race last year at Road America with Dempsey Racing and finished 8th in the GT class. With just two races in the books for the brand new GT program for Fall-Line, the team has made great strides and improved in a very short amount of time. What engineers and drivers have learned over the past month since taking delivery of their Audi R8 should prove very valuable at a track like Road America.

Charlie Putman: "The Fall-Line guys have been working overtime to settle down the beautiful Audi R8. In the Rolex Series we are unfortunately mandated to run the car in a very different configuration than the original design as it is raced in Europe. The development process for this is intensive and time and resource consuming; I can only guess how little sleep the guys have had over the last few weeks! In the last test we saw some slight improvements in stability, but the car is still somewhat untamed, and quite lively to drive. Exciting stuff, but very challenging to both the team and the drivers! Charles and I will have to be on top of our game to manage the high speed Road America course this week. But then, challenge is what we all thrive on..."

Charles Espenlaub: "I am very excited to get back in the Fall-Line Audi R8 with my long time friend and co-driver Charlie Putman. The whole team has been working very hard on every detail in true Fall-line fashion. This hard work and attention to detail will get us a result worthy of the effort. And as always we will have as much fun as possible...good times!"

Michael Harvey, Team Manager: "We are very excited to bring our new GT program to our "home" race. These past few months have been a steep learning curve but I could not be more proud of the Fall-Line Motorsports team; their dedication and workload has been huge. We really could not have made it this far without the amazing support from Audi Sport Customer Racing. Brad (Kettler) and his team have given us invaluable help. I look forward to a strong showing for the Fall-Line Audi R8."

The 2 hour 45 minute VisitFlorida.com Sports Car 250 is set for Saturday, August 10 at 5:00p ET airing LIVE on SPEED.
