Eagle B+ Racing desire to score big in the CTSCC race at Road America

Al Carter and Hugh Plumb have many race wins but not as teammates in the same car. They hope to change that this weekend at Road America in the Continental Tire Sports Car Challenge.

Al Carter and Hugh Plumb have been racing together in the Continental Tire Sports Car Challenge since 2010. They have scored multiple podium finishes but have never won a race together in that series yet. The recent back to back win at Watkins Glen and Indianapolis of the No. 46 BMW co-driven by their teammates Mark Boden and Bryan Sellers let them hope that this time, if Fall-Line Motorsports is going to do the "hat trick", they should step up on the top of the Road America podium on Saturday afternoon.

Hugh Plumb qualified on the front row and dominated most of the Brickyard Sports Car Challenge two weeks ago at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway and the No. 45 Eagle Tech / B+ Foundation / Jetset Magazine / Momo Fall-Line Motorsports BMW has been a consistent front runner since mid-season.

Al Carter and Hugh Plumb both like the Road America race track and are eager to start practicing on Wednesday. With all the racing experience accumulated by Al at the highest level of the ALMS and GRAND-AM Rolex Sports Car Series GT class since 2012, Carter is now able to either qualify and start or finish a race and fight on track with the series front runners, which makes it very interesting for the No. 45 team and for him.

This week, both drivers and their team are racing at home. Fall-Line Motorsports is located only 130 miles from Road America and many of the team's fans will be there to root for their champions.

Al Carter pre-Road America quote: "Our Eagle B+ Racing Fall-Line BMW's could not be running any better. The Fall-Line No. 46 has won the last 2 races at Watkins Glen and Indy, and our No. 45 had a super strong performance going at Indy. Hugh qualified on the front row and led almost every lap during the first stint, and I was in a position to bring us our second podium in a row until a frustrated John Edwards attempted an all or nothing pass late in the race, damaging both his car and our BMW. But we head to Road America with great confidence that the crew and our engineer, Chris Lerch, will again have Hugh and I getting 101% performance out of our No. 45. Road America is an iconic, old school American road course. The track is long, challenging, scary fast, and will provide all the action that is the Continental Tire series. Hugh and I will be right in the mix of the podium battle, as our risk tolerance is high as our only focus is battling for a win".

Hugh Plumb pre-Road America quote: "We have had our share of rough luck this year in the No. 45 Eagle Tech / B+ Foundation / Jetset Magazine / Momo Fall Line BMW. We have for sure been quick and reliable but have not been able follow through due to some things in our control some not. I'm confident that Fall-Line Motorsports, Al Carter and I, will perform on a very high level this weekend at Road America to make sure we maximize our result."

The Road America race is the 8th round of the 2013 Grand-Am Continental Tire Sports Car Challenge and the event starts with a promoter test day on Wednesday. Official practice sessions will take place on August 8 at 1:30 and 4:45 PM ET on Thursday and CTSCC GS qualifying Friday, August 9 at 9:40 AM ET.

The start of the 2.5 hour Road America race is set for Saturday, August 10 at 12:30 PM ET. The race will be televised on SPEED TV Saturday, August 17 at 4:00 PM ET.
