NASCAR champion Jimmie Johnson is set to turn some laps in the Matthews entry on Saturday. In all, twenty-seven prototypes have taken times during the first two days of the test.

In the GT class, Porsches claimed the top three spots, with Andy Lally leading the way in the No. 66 TRG Porsche. Lally recorded a time of 1:52.791. A pair of Farnbacher Loles Motorsports Porsches were second and third fastest in class. Thirty-six cars have taken times so far in the GT class.

Friday's test sessions were interrupted by several off course excursions, including hard wrecks by Randy Ruhlman in the No. 3 Southard Motorsports Lexus Riley and Tony George in the Vision Racing Porsche Crawford. Both drivers were checked and released from the infield care center.

The three-day test session concludes on Saturday, with two practice sessions.
