SHOES FOR CREWS® Drivers Looking Forward To Return To Daytona

DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. (June 28, 2006) -- SHOES FOR CREWS® drivers Leh Keen, of Dublin, Ga., and David Murry, of Atlanta, Ga., are looking for little redemption on Daytona International Speedway's infamous high banks and infield road course this week. The pair returns to Daytona for the first time since the season-opening Rolex 24 At Daytona to compete in Thursday night's Brumos Porsche 250, round 10 of the Rolex Sports Car Series presented by Crown Royal Special Reserve.

While they were able to take the checkered flag at the Rolex 24 earlier this year, the grueling 24-hour race took its toll on Synergy Racing's No. 80 SHOES FOR CREWS® Porsche and resulted in a disappointing 22nd-place finish. Determined to rally back from a rough start to the season, Murry and Keen grabbed second place in the second race of the season and have not finished out of the top eight since then.

Now the duo returns to Daytona determined to give sponsor SHOES FOR CREWS® their first victory of the season at the 'World Center of Racing.'

"I'm really looking forward to getting back to Daytona," said Keen. "Synergy has done a great job with the SHOES FOR CREWS® Porsche. It seems to get faster and faster at each race.

"Daytona is great track for Porsches, so I hope we can redeem ourselves a little and get a strong finish for SHOES FOR CREWS® and the entire team at Synergy."

Jammed-Packed Thursday

The Brumos Porsche 250 is the shortest event on the Rolex Series schedule--not because of race distance or time limits, but because of the condensed event schedule. Thursday will be jammed packed for the SHOES FOR CREWS® drivers, starting off with a driver meeting at 8:15 a.m. and practice beginning at 9 a.m. and running almost non-stop until qualifying at 12:15 p.m.

While the NASCAR NEXTEL Cup and Busch Series and IROC drivers take to the track for practice in the afternoon, Keen and Murry will be participating in an autograph session at 4 p.m. Then they will begin final preparation for the 250-mile race scheduled to start at 7 p.m.
