Sigalsport BMW Has Ambition And Determination To Score Big At 45th Rolex 24 At Daytona!

Los Angeles, January 22, 2007: Following four and a half months of preparation, Sigalsport BMW is ready for the biggest race of the 2007 season, the 45th Rolex 24 at Daytona.

The Sigalsport BMW team worked non-stop and covered over 2000 miles of practice to arrive to this point. The No. 05 Sigalsport BMW Riley will be co-driven next weekend at Daytona by Matthew Alhadeff, Bill Auberlen, Gene Sigal and former 2000 overall Rolex 24 champion, Karl Wendlinger.

"I can't wait for the race to begin, we have prepared so much and I have never felt better about going to Daytona!" declared Bill Auberlen. "The team worked miracles in the off season. Sigalsport BMW combined with Dinan BMW was relentless in accomplishing our goals. Even after the test days at Daytona where we were quickest in two of the sessions, we have made many improvements to the car which should really make a difference with our already fast pace" continued Bill.

Since the last test days at Daytona, the team, led by crew chief Gilbert Lage, worked really hard in their Indianapolis shop. "We are ready for this race" announced Sigalsport BMW team owner and co-driver of the 05 Sigalsport BMW Riley, Gene Sigal. "We changed almost everything on the car to make sure we have one of the most reliable cars in the filed. We purchased all the bits and pieces available on the market to make the car go faster and our engine partner, Dinan, worked 24/7 to give us the best engine package they could to qualify on top for the race and also to run amongst the best teams throughout the 24-hour race. We have worked so much that I am convinced things are going to pay off." said Sigal. "Our goal is still to finish in the top ten but somewhere inside ourselves, if lady luck is on our side and we all do a good job, we dream of a better result" continued Gene.

Karl Wendlinger, a former F1 driver is flying from Austria to join Matt Alhadeff, Bill Auberlen and Gene Sigal for the 2007 Rolex 24. Karl is the first ever Rolex Series race winner and one of the best endurance racers on the planet. Matt Alhadeff is also well prepared for this event. He and Bill worked a lot throughout the winter and Matt made impressive progress and is looking forward to this challenge.

Tomorrow is a big day for Sigalsport BMW which will unveil a new car livery and announce its new title sponsor. The four Sigalsport BMW drivers will be on the track at the Daytona International Speedway Thursday morning at 10:00 AM for the first practice session.
