Sara Evans To Sing National Anthem For 40th Anniversary Of The Rolex 24 At Daytona

DAYTONA BEACH, Fla., (Jan. 30, 2002) -- Award-winning singer/songwriter Sara Evans will sing the national anthem for the 40th anniversary of the Rolex 24 At Daytona on Saturday, Feb. 2 at 1 p.m. at Daytona International Speedway.

Evans, a native of Missouri, has produced three albums -- "Three Chords and the Truth," "No Place That Far" and her latest "Born To Fly." The Missouri native's hits include "Born To Fly," "I Could Not Ask For More" and "No Place That Far," a duet with Vince Gill.

The RCA recording artist has garnered praise and awards throughout the music community, including the 2001 Country Music Award for Video of the Year for "Born To Fly." She has also appeared on national television several times.

"We're delighted to have the talent of Sara Evans for the Rolex 24 At Daytona," Speedway President John Graham said. "Her voice and rendition of the national anthem will surely bring a patriotic start to this weekend's events."
