Pecorari to make Rolex 24 debut

(Daytona Beach, FL) 25 January 07--Adam Pecorari will make his Rolex 24 At Daytona debut this weekend after getting a late call-up from team owner Matt Connolly.

The Pennsylvania native will partner with Connolly, Jason Workman, and Romeo Kapudja in the P1 Group BMW M3.

"I'm really excited to be starting this race because the amount of talent out here is just amazing," said Pecorari. "I am working on finalizing my plans for the full season and will hopefully have something to announce soon on the front, but right now I'm focused on getting comfortable in the car and having a good race. This is a great opportunity and I want to thank Matt for giving me the call."

The Daytona event is Perorari's third Grand-Am race start, having raced previously in Mexico City and VIR. Pecorari is coming off an outstanding season in the IMSA Lites Series, having taken eight wins from nine race starts in 2006.

"I've raced at Daytona before, but it's obviously going to be a whole lot different doing it with seventy other cars on the track for 24 hours," said Pecorari. "We are going up against some teams with big budgets and a lot of testing behind them, but the BMW has shown it can go the distance in endurance races and that will be more important that outright speed."
