Driver of the #16 Napleton Racing Porsche Cayman and winner of last weekend's 24 Hours of Daytona in the GX class, Jim Norman found that even real Rolex watches can fool a jeweler.
Shank believes that an appeal would not change the outcome of the penalty on the No. 60 Michael Shank Racing Ford-Riley. The infraction was based on how the motor was set up for the testing process. He hopes this process will be improved.

Chip Ganassi Racing's BMW takes the overall win at Daytona. Alex Job Racing claims Audi's first Grand-Am GT win. The Napleton Porsche gets first ever GX class win.
The team repaired the left front suspension on the No. 30 MOMO NGT Motorsport Porsche GT3, but the damage was too great to sustain the car to the finish.
The second place No. 30 MOMO/NGT Motorsport Porsche suffered severe damage to the left front. Kuba Giermaziak was driving at the time.
Morning fog rolled into Daytona forcing the GRANDAM officials to call for a full course caution.
The No. 02 Chip Ganassi Racing with Felix Sabates BMW Riley holds the lead after 12 hours are now in the book in the 2013 Rolex 24 at Daytona race. Close at hand is his rival from the IndyCar series – the 2012 champion.
Franchitti and Kimball were in a title battle on a restart and neither was giving an inch even though they are both from the Chip Ganassi Racing camp!
Chip Ganassi Racing's BMW Riley No. 01 still maintains the lead in the Rolex 24 at Daytona. A pair of Ferraris lead the GT class, while the BGB Porsche the GX class.
The two Ganassi BMW Rileys are fast, the No. 2 Starworks Ford is also strong and the Corvettes are still competitive. Ferrari, Camaro and Audi are beating the Porsches in GT. The GX class is not ready for a 24 hour event.

GT pole sitter, Nick Tandy damages his Porsche. 8Star Motorsports lost a gear box and AJ Allmendinger had a tie-rod break on the No. 60 MSR Ford Riley.
Team owner Michael Shank stood by his long-time friend AJ Allmendinger during his time of admission regarding the failed drug test, and encouraged the race car driver to complete the NASCAR Road to Recovery program.
