American Le Mans Series’ executives Scott Atherton and Scot Elkins addressed the media during the Winter Test at Sebring International Raceway.
AJ Allmendinger lost his ride last year due to failing the NASCAR random drug test. He ended up in the NASCAR Road to Recovery and made his return to racing. Now it appears his former team boss will give him a shot in an IndyCar.

Dr. Don Panoz makes a switch on the DeltaWing project. He is taking the chassis in-house powered by Mazda. The new generation DeltaWing will be on the grid at Sebring.

Driver of the #16 Napleton Racing Porsche Cayman and winner of last weekend's 24 Hours of Daytona in the GX class, Jim Norman found that even real Rolex watches can fool a jeweler.
Shank believes that an appeal would not change the outcome of the penalty on the No. 60 Michael Shank Racing Ford-Riley. The infraction was based on how the motor was set up for the testing process. He hopes this process will be improved.
The team's Nissan Altima Coupes finished first and ninth in the Continental Tire Sports Car Challenge opener.

A. J. Foyt had to forgo his role as the 2012 grand marshal for the Rolex 24 last year, but the former winner at Daytona was present for this year’s event. As usual – except for a few topics – Foyt was willing to give his opinion and thoughts.

Chip Ganassi Racing's BMW takes the overall win at Daytona. Alex Job Racing claims Audi's first Grand-Am GT win. The Napleton Porsche gets first ever GX class win.
The team repaired the left front suspension on the No. 30 MOMO NGT Motorsport Porsche GT3, but the damage was too great to sustain the car to the finish.
The second place No. 30 MOMO/NGT Motorsport Porsche suffered severe damage to the left front. Kuba Giermaziak was driving at the time.
The No. 02 Chip Ganassi Racing with Felix Sabates BMW Riley holds the lead after 12 hours are now in the book in the 2013 Rolex 24 at Daytona race. Close at hand is his rival from the IndyCar series – the 2012 champion.
Franchitti and Kimball were in a title battle on a restart and neither was giving an inch even though they are both from the Chip Ganassi Racing camp!
Chip Ganassi Racing's BMW Riley No. 01 still maintains the lead in the Rolex 24 at Daytona. A pair of Ferraris lead the GT class, while the BGB Porsche the GX class.
The two Ganassi BMW Rileys are fast, the No. 2 Starworks Ford is also strong and the Corvettes are still competitive. Ferrari, Camaro and Audi are beating the Porsches in GT. The GX class is not ready for a 24 hour event.

GT pole sitter, Nick Tandy damages his Porsche. 8Star Motorsports lost a gear box and AJ Allmendinger had a tie-rod break on the No. 60 MSR Ford Riley.
Team owner Michael Shank stood by his long-time friend AJ Allmendinger during his time of admission regarding the failed drug test, and encouraged the race car driver to complete the NASCAR Road to Recovery program.
As they have in past Rolex 24 hours contest, Chip Ganassi’s two champions are ready for the race in Daytona. Scott Dixon and Dario Franchitti shared their thoughts on the 2013 IndyCar season.

2012 IZOD IndyCar champion is preparing for the Rolex 24 at Daytona race in a Corvette Daytona Prototype. While focus on the first major series race in North America, Ryan Hunter-Reay is looking forward to starting his title defense.
