Action Express won the prestigious race in their debut at the track and then followed up that effort with a podium finish of third and a ninth place finish in the 2011 event. The team placed fifth and ninth in last year’s Rolex 24 with the No. 5 and No. 9 Corvette DPs, respectively.

Having completed a total 1,497 laps last year, the two Action Express cars ran 98% of the race laps for a total of 5,329.32-miles around the famed 3.56-mile speedway road course.

The 2013 Rolex 24 At Daytona sees Action Express field one of its strongest driver line- ups yet. Joao Barbosa, Burt Frisselle, and Mike Rockenfeller will share the driving duties in the No. 9 Action Express Corvette DP entry, while Christian Fittipaldi, Brian Frisselle, Nelson Piquet, Jr. and Felipe Nasr will join forces in the No. 5 Action Express Corvette DP.

The team will field a two-car effort for the entire 2013 GRAND-AM season and is hoping to kick the year off by collecting another set of Rolex watches in Daytona’s Victory Lane following a rigorous 24 hours of racing on Sunday.
