Team RSC Mucke Motorsport aims for points and podium at the third season event at Valencia - Peter Mucke: "We are still well on the way we do"
Berlin/Valencia (rol/ot) Aiming on points and the podium the German Team RSC Mucke Motorsport travels to Valencia (Spain) for the third season event of the GP3 Series including the races five and six in the general program of the Formula-1-Grand Prix coming weekend (25th to 27th of June). "In the last four races the performance and the speed of our cars and drivers were good. Certainly the positions beyond the points ranking haven't been our vision", tells team principal Peter Mucke, who has as a prominent combatant and partner Ralf Schumacher (the RSC in the team name stands for the former Formula 1 driver and actual Mercedes DTM pilot) in his team. "At Valencia we try to reward ourselves with placings at front now for the hard work of the whole team", underlines Peter Mucke.
For that to become real not only the two pole positions of RSC Mucke driver Nigel Melker at Barcelona and Istanbul showed us. With these positions he gathered four points and overall ranking position 14 between the peloton of 30 drivers, that are driving the same cars with a Dallara Chassis, Renault motor and Pirelli tyres. At last the tests on the 5.419 km long track last Thursday and Friday (17th / 18th of June) the Netherland Melker, his compatriot Renger van der Zande and German Tobias Hegewald (Waldbreitbach) showed the reason to become hopeful again at the racing stable from Berlin, that is the only German team of the GP3 series. "On both days we fully burred our testing program and still have been between the top six", tells Peter Mucke. "If we have the needed luck in the race now as well we will be at front at the ranked race. About that I am sure."
