Team RSC Mucke Motorsport goes for premiere at the GP3 Series - Andrina Gugger from Switzerland is the first woman behind the wheel of a GP3 racer at tests at Portugal
Berlin (rol/ot) The German Team RSC Mucke Motorsport from Berlin goes for a premiere at the GP3 Series: When the winter test drives start at Estoril (Portugal) from Wednesday to Friday (13th to 15th of October) a young Lady named Andrina Gugger will be the first woman in the cockpit of a GP3 racer. She is from Switzerland, 19 years old and wants to be a teacher after studies. And she has been on track already for the racing stable from the German capital city at the ADAC Formula Masters last season.
"Andrina showed her talent already at the ADAC Formula Masters and just after the season ending last week she already started with tests at the Formula 3 Series. Now we want to give her the opportunity to have a go at a higher level of motor sports", Peter Mucke and Ralf Schumacher agreed.
"Her Management knows just like us that this is a big step for her. Andrina has to take her time at the tests to get used to the engine power and the downforce of the GP3 racer. The lap times and placings have to be second importance yet. After the test we will sit together and try to find the perfect way for Andrina in her young career", explains Peter Mucke, that already made straight paths with his team and good preparatory work for six of his drivers into the Formula 1.
At Estoril Andrina Gugger will be together with Nigel Melker for the test days. The 19 years old Netherland that already has been behind the wheel for the Team RSC Mucke Motorsport at the premiere season of the GP3 Series, where he wrote history with the first pole position ever at this series, will be on track in 2011 again for the racing stable from the German capital city at the GP3 Series that takes part in the main schedule of the Formula 1 Grand Prix. Peter Mucke and Ralf Schumacher agreed with Nigel Melker end of September to prolong the contract early.
At the winter tests of the GP3 that will be continued at Jerez (Spain) from 20th to 22nd of October the Team RSC Mucke Motorsport wants to lay the foundation for a successful season in 2011. They are aiming for the championship title coming season.
