Team RSC Mucke Motorsport on position eight with German Tobias Hegewald at Spa-Francorchamps - Nigel Melker two times on 15, Renger van der Zande discarded two times
Berlin/Spa-Francorchamps (rol/ot) The eights position of German Tobias Hegewald on Sunday has been the best result for the Team RSC Mucke Motorsport from Berlin at the 7th season event of the GP3 Series with the runs 13 and 14. The races were scheduled for the weekend of 28th and 29th of August at Spa-Francorchamps in the main program of the Formula 1 Grand Prix of Belgium. On Saturday the German driver from Waldbreitbach has been the best placed pilot of the racing stable from the German capital city as well being on position 14 on this 7,004 km long rollercoaster track. Nigel Melker has been on 15 two times, Renger van der Zande discarded two times - on Saturday after aquaplaning in the rain in the seventh lap and the day after with a problem on the motor in the warm up lap.
"That has been yet another rainy poker game weather at Spa and we unfortunately didn't have the right cards to play with", told team principal Peter Mucke that has Ralf Schumacher (the RSC in the team name stands for the former Formula 1 and actual Mercedes DTM pilot) as a prominent combatant and partner between his rows. "Looking on the speed we could have been at front drivers without any problems. It is a pity that we couldn't get anything out of it", added Peter Mucke. Winners of the races have been the Canadian Robert Wickens on Saturday and the French Adrien Tambay on Sunday. The races 15 and 16 of the GP3 Series are scheduled for 10th to 12th of September at Monza (Italy).
