Alexander Rossi who set a time of 1:20.320. James Jakes claimed third spot for Manor.

The remainder of the top ten was filled with what has now become the usual suspects, and with just one second separating the top eighteen drivers we look set to have an extremely competitive season ahead.

Yesterday's fastest man Esteban Guierrez finished the morning session in fourth, while newcomer Felipe Guimaraes put in a strong finished sixth ahead of Robert Wickens for Status GP. Eighth spot was filled by Pedro Sanchez Lopez for Addax, ninth was Michael Christensen for MW Arden and Josef Newgarden rounded out the top ten.

The afternoon session in Le Castellet will start at 14:00 local time and finish at 17:00.
