Ocon stripped of Austrian podium finish

Esteban Ocon has been disqualified from his third place finish in Sunday morning's GP3 race in Austria for a technical infringement.

The Frenchman finished third in the second race of the weekend at the Red Bull Ring behind first-time winner Oscar Tunjo and Marvin Kirchhofer, moving to within 10 points of points leader Luca Ghiotto.

But it was subsequently revealed that the undertray height dimensions of Ocon's ART Grand Prix-run car didn't conform with the rules, leading to his disqualification and promoting Ghiotto to the final podium place.

Jenzer Motorsport driver Matheo Tuscher was also stripped of sixth position for the same reason, moving Matt Parry and Ralph Boschung into the points.

Ferrari Academy driver Antonio Fuoco has also been handed a three-place grid penalty for the next round at Silverstone for causing the first-lap shunt at Turn 2 with Jann Mardenborough and Sandy Stuvik.
