After their excellent performances so far in the GP3 series, the Portuguese Ocean Racing Technology team returns to action this weekend, the 1st and 2nd of September, for the legendary Spa- Francorchamps event in Belgium
There are only two rounds left in the 2012 GP3 Championship season and Ocean is planning on scoring some well-deserved points and making appearances on the podium before it comes to a close.
Kevin Ceccon, Robert Cregan and Carmen Jorda have had a month's break between races in order to recharge their batteries and prepare for the final rounds of the championship in the best way possible.
Of the three, Ceccon is the most experienced driver and has been a strong opponent so far this season and he is expecting good results in this race: "Two good results, preferably on the podium. I'm really looking forward to this re-start of the championship. I quite like the Spa layout and the fact that my engineer lives nearby will certainly help, because he knows the area like nobody else. We must also take into account the atmospheric conditions that can change very quickly here and they can play a very important role in the outcome. Anyway, I'm ready," he said.
Robert Cregan's best result to date was an 11th place finish but despite his rookie status, he has been very close to the top 10. For this weekend, his goal is to... "Finish in the top 10, definitely. Spa is a demanding track and requires a lot of work to be successful. But I'm prepared to give my best and achieve my goal."
Carmen Jorda has come to grips really well with the demanding GP3 Series with his best finish being a 13th place in the Valencia event: "I want to continue my process of evolution and adaptation. I feel like I'm getting better but sometimes it is not easy to translate our hard work into effective results. For this particular race I plan to beat my best result and hopefully finish both races," concluded the Spanish driver.
Both races can be viewed on Sky this weekend with Saturday's being played at 5.15pm and Sunday's race at 9.20am.
