Germany next stop for Daly

The busiest time of the GP3 season will conclude this weekend in Germany, when American Conor Daly heads to the Nürburgring for rounds seven and eight of the GP3 championship. The pressure will be a little more this weekend after a disappointing showing in England just three days ago where he scored no points in two races. Daly will travel to the Nürburgring looking to cut into the 18 point lead in the championship currently enjoyed by Cypriot, Tio Ellinas.

"Silverstone did not go my way but that's now history," commented Daly. "I know what I have to do in Germany and I just have to go out and execute the plan. Maybe we might see some rain again as it usually rains in Germany, that would make the weekend interesting."

Nürburgring is one of the most famous race circuit names in the world. The current Grand Prix circuit is not the famous 14 mile track that cuts through the German mountain region that was originally built in 1927 as a test track for the German auto industry. The 'new' and shorter Nürburgring that satisfies today's FIA safety standards sits adjacent to the old version and has hosted Formula One cars in a somewhat inconsistent fashion since 1984.

"I've raced at the new Nürburgring before so I know it reasonably well," said Daly. "The weather is always unpredictable there and I might even welcome some rain during the weekend."

Daly drives for the French based ART Grand Prix team, which is regarded as one of Europe's best junior teams. Past drivers to have gone through ART include current Formula One drivers such as; Lewis Hamilton, Nico Rosberg, Sebastian Vettel, Adrian Sutil, Jules Bianchi and Paul DiResta.

GP3 is part of the Formula One support program with all races except Valencia taking place at rounds of the Formula One World Championship. The final rounds will be held in Abu Dhabi on November 1st-3rd.

GP3 has no television coverage in the US, however if you search on-line, (GP3 Nürburgring, Germany) there are multiple Euro sites that live stream the races. There will be live timing available on the GP3 website; GP3.
