Mechanical problems delay Facu Regalia
Facu Regalia debuted this Wednesday in the GP3, at Jerez de la Frontera, but some problems with the fuel pump of his car prevented him to be in the track with consistency in the afternoon.
The Spanish-Argentinean driver was at the wheel of a Addax Team single- seater, starting to acquaint himself with the Dallara GP3/10, the circuit and the Pirelli tyres. "The goal was to get confidence in the car and in the track. I started the session with old tyres, but, unfortunately, when we put new tyres the track was hotter and we couldn't take advantage from the fresh rubber", explained the eighteen years old driver.
After lunch, Facu Regalia's car suffered a mechanical gremlin which left him almost an hour and a half in the pits. "The fuel pump gave up after half an hour in the afternoon. When I returned to the track, I couldn't complete many laps. Besides, I had some problems with the brakes since the morning, something that the team will fix for tomorrow", said Facu Regalia at the end of the day.
At Thursday the Spanish-Argentinean driver will continue with Addax Team, a day in which "I think I can do a good work with the team. Besides, as I didn't do many laps in this afternoon, I'll have two sets of new tyres for tomorrow, something that will give me the chance to be among the fastest."
