The Enthusiastic Debut in the GP3 is finally here for Esteban Gutierrez

Barcelona, Spain -- The day has come for driver Esteban Gutierrez, from the ART Grand Prix team, who will debut this weekend in the GP3 Series along with other 29 young talented drivers from around the world. Who will make history when the new European series launches this weekend in Catalunya, alongside the Formula 1 and the GP2 Series.

The thousands of fans that will be there, plus millions of fans around the world watching it on TV, will have the opportunity to see the future stars of motorsport take the track on Friday, May 7th, at 16:50 local time for the first official practice of the series.

After six testing days on the GP3 car, two races of the Formula 3 Euroseries, two races of the British F3 International, and many weeks of physical, psychological and nutritional training, Gutierrez has expressed that he is ready for the new challenge.

Esteban has faith that with all of his and his team's efforts they will reach remarkable achievements to share with Mexico and all of those who have believed in him throughout his professional career as a driver.

For this weekend, the 30 participating drivers will have a practice session on Friday, a qualifying session and one race on Saturday, and the second race that will take place on Sunday.

"This is the time when we have to focus 100% on the challenge that we are about to face this year. We have been working on every aspect to get here the best prepared possible for the big moment. We feel great enthusiasm for this kind of challenge which we enjoy every minute, and I think this is key to do things the way they should be done", expressed Esteban Gutierrez.

"This championship is going to be very competitive, which is why it is critical to be very smart at all times and take one race at a time giving our best without getting carried away or making expectations for the future. It is the result of each race, our work and effort - future and present - , what will bring the results in the end", he explained.

"It is very important to keep our feet on the ground and not get over confident. We are putting this new challenge in God's hands so we keep moving forward even when the times are difficult. I feel grateful for the support from my sponsors, my family, my girlfriend, my friends and my fans; it motivates me to give my best effort and bring the name of our country to the very top", he remarked.
