The summer break of the GP2 Main Series will be finally coming to an end in Valencia with the third-to-last event of the 2008 season, set to take place on the new temporary street track located close to the city`s centre. The circuit, built around the Port area, features, in opposition to the regular downtown venues, an extremely fast layout, where cars hare supposed to hit high speeds several times per lap. Trident Racing has prepared to face the Valencian challenge with a huge preliminary job done in the past weeks, in order to repeat the positive results scored at Monte Carlo, the other city round on the calendar. The weekend will start tomorrow with the usual 30-minute practice session followed, at 16:00 by Qualifying. The two races are respectively scheduled for Saturday, at 16:00, and for Sunday, at 10:30. All times are GMT+2.

Alessandro Alunni Bravi, Managing Director

"The one at Valencia is, for both the GP2 Main Series and the Formula One World Championship, the most awaited round of the year. Although the circuit is completely new, it will count on a fascinating frame, that already set the stage for the last edition of the America`s Cup. The ambiance will be extremely `glam`, catching the eyes of many top sponsors and personalities, but competition will be fundamental part of the show too, as the Valencia Street Circuit, designed by Hermann Tilke, will prove to be a true challenge for everyone. The top speeds we`ll reach at Valencia will be beaten only at Monza, and a lighter wing configuration will be necessary. The teams will be called to find the best compromise between speeds and downforce and drivers will be facing an hard time in qualifying in order to catch the right moment to push. Trident Racing scored a win in the recent round held at Monte Carlo, and will be able to count on its two drivers` experience on this track. Both of them had the chance to race at Valencia Street Circuit, scoring a win in the GT Open event held last July, driving a Chrysler Viper GT3. We hope for a good qualifying session: that`ll be a necessary for a successful Race 1".
