Unlucky start for Bianchi, Bortolotti tenth Valencia, 27 June -- The GP2 and GP3 racers have just finished their second race of the weekend at the Valencia street circuit, taking place on the same race card as the ninth round of the Formula 1 World Championship.
No points for the two young hopes of the Ferrari Driver Academy at the end of their respective races, both of which were incident packed. For Jules Bianchi, at the wheel of one of the two cars entered by the ART Grand Prix team, the race was all over on the opening lap, when having been involved in a collision, he had to pit immediately, where the team retired the car because of irreparable damage to the rear end. First past the flag was Marcus Ericsson (Super Nova Racing,) followed by Giedo Van der Garde (Barwa Addax Team) and Michael Herck (DPR.) In the race for the GP3 boys, the Addax Team car in the hands of Italy's Mirko Bortolotti came home in tenth place, while the event was won by Nico Muller (Jenzer Motorsport) ahead of Robert Mehri (Atech CRS GP) and James Jakes (Manor Racing.)
The next round for both series takes place at Silverstone, over the weekend of 11 July, at the same event as the tenth round of the Formula 1 World Championship.
