Trident Racing continue GP2 testing at Barcelona.

After the first collective GP2 Main Series tests of the 2008 season, held at Paul Ricard, Trident Racing didn`t stop working, as the team headed towards Barcelona. Engines re-fired on the Catalunya racetrack for another two-day test, a particularly indicative one due to the complexity of the track`s features. Ho Pin Tung ended up into the top-10 by clocking the 9th fastest time in today`s timesheets. The Chinese driver set his best mark in 1:28.321, running with fresh tires in the PM session. Mike Conway followed a different plan, focusing on long runs and preparing to express his best hot-lap performance tomorrow. The English driver had his best lap in 1:28.880.

Alessandro Alunni Bravi, Managing Director

"Apart from the chronometric results, today`s sessions were really positive, as all the work we scheduled during the last days was completed successfully by splitting duties on both cars. Tung rounded out a great lap, especially considering that he was stopped by a red flag in the best moment for his tires. Conway did not test a setup oriented to single-lap performances, but focused on solving the small troubles emerged from last week`s test at Paul Ricard. I want to remark the outstanding job done today by our whole technical staff, able to do heavy modifications on the cars with no delay over the projected plan. A fine day for Trident Racing."
