01/11/2012 - Season 2012 being over, the GP2 Series got again on track in Barcelona for the first two testing days ahead of the 2013 season.
Stefano Coletti, confirmed as team Rapax's driver, completed a considerable amount of work both on dry and wet conditions collecting important data that will be thoroughly analyzed by the engineers. The Monegasque set the sixth quickest time (1'31"773), but did not exploit a fresh set of tyres as the session was red flagged while he was on his fastest lap.
The development process on the car will continue at the factory of the Italian squad until November 22nd, when the cars will get back on track in Jerez for two more testing days.
Stefano Coletti: "The test of Barcelona turned out to be very fruitful: we did not seek the single lap performance and focused instead on trying several solutions out. Obviously some of them were interesting, some others were not but it was important to complete the scheduled programme as the GP2 Series does not allow very many testing chances during the season. We ended the test with the sixth absolute time which is quite positive as it was obtained on worn tyres ".
