Stefano Coletti press release
Positive Test In Jerez
The first three official test days of GP2 Series 2012 ended yesterday in Jerez (Spain) with a positive feedback for Stefano Coletti and Scuderia Coloni.
The young Monegasque worked both on the single lap performance and on the race pace, meeting all the goals set by the engineers of the Italian squad. The programme of work devised by technicians has been completed without any problem, including a race simulation that produced interesting data.
Teams will now move to Barcelona where the GP2 Series will be on track from 6 to 8 March for the last three collective tests ahead of the season opener, scheduled for next 25 March in Kuala Lampur (Malaysia).
"We run an important test in Jerez, which confirmed the quality of the work done during winter in terms of simulation and data analysis; the introduction of several tyres compounds adds further value to the championship and will be another interesting variable to bear in mind during the racing weekends. We will be back on track in Barcelona in the coming days; the circuit will allow us to work also on high speed corners and on a partially different surface than Jerez's tarmac but overall the programme will not change so much.
Finally, I would like to point out to fans that a charity auction is currently on at www.blogf1.it/anffas where it will be possible to purchase a special racing suit that I used last year at Monaco as well as a tyre signed by HRH Prince Albert II of Monaco and myself".
