Heading To Barcelona For A Crucial Round
The three Asian rounds being archived, the GP2 Series is now heading to Europe for the mid part of the season. The circuit of Montmelò, near Barcelona, will house this weekend the first of the eight European rounds in the calendar after being the stage of the last collective test last March.
Stefano Coletti reaches this round well motivated to turn the page and to consider the double exit of Bahrain just as a parenthesis in a circuit where the Monegasque and his team struggled to show the level of competitiveness put on track in Malaysia. In the last two weeks the team worked hard to get back into the fight for top positions, pushed by the awareness of having the potential to aim high.
Stefano Coletti:
"Barcelona is a fundamental round for my season, where it is going to be crucial to score positive results to get back some lost ground in the classification. In some ways my championship is starting from Spain: from now on it is going to be necessary to get the most out of every single weekend for the rest of the season; we still are confident and both the team and I are extremely motivated to give our best".
