First podium for Bortolotti

Silverstone, 11 July 2010 -- The second series of races went well for Jules Bianchi and Mirko Bortolotti, two of the Ferrari Driver Academy youngsters, on track at Silverstone for another round in the two junior series, GP2 and GP3, held at the English circuit at the same meeting as the tenth round of the Formula 1 World Championship. Art Grand Prix's French driver finished the second GP2 race in fifth place, making up two places from his grid position: the race victory went to Sergio Perez (Barwa Addax Team,) ahead of Oliver Turvey (Sport International) and Dani Clos (Racing Engineering.) In the GP3 event, Bortolotti started from pole, but was immediately passed by eventual winner Daniel Morad (Status GP) but he defended his second position from various attacks, finishing ahead of Alexander Rossi (Art Grand Prix) to bring home a good points haul.

The two young hopes of the Maranello school will be back in action at Hockenheim over the weekend of 25 July, once again linking up with the F1 circus, which tackles the eleventh round of the World Championship.
