"HANDS OFF SILVERSTONE"

Adam Carroll fired a warning to Silverstone skeptics before his home grand prix this weekend claiming they should keep their hands off one of the "most exciting circuits in the world". "It's great for young drivers to be able to come to big, demanding tracks like Silverstone.

It's historic and more importantly it really works as fun weekend of racing and atmosphere. The road system works, it looks like we are going to have some great weather and Silverstone normally throws up an exciting race. "The great thing about the track is that it has a bit of everything. The first section through Copse, Maggotts, Becketts and Chapel is unbelievable; it's quick and constantly changing direction.

Toward the end of the lap things change again, it's slower, you have Priory, Brooklands and Luffield. Altogether it is a great, long lap." The 23 year old, from Portadown in Northern Ireland, is a three time winner in the GP2 series, tasting victory at some of the most historic circuits in F1 - Imola, Monaco and Spa.

Now he's looking forward to adding Silverstone to his list of accomplishments. "I really enjoy coming to Silverstone. I have a house just 15 minutes away so it really does feel like my home grand prix. My team Racing Engineering and I are confident of a good result so I hope I can give my fans something to help them enjoy the British Grand Prix race weekend"

Where and When Circuit: Silverstone 3.195 miles The former airfield is one of the favorite's' on the Formula One calendar and is also one of the fastest circuits visited. The complex of Maggotts and Becketts is always a spectacle and sees the cars being used to the max. Located in the Northamptonshire countryside, the track also has the acclaim of holding the first ever F1 championship race, in 1950.
