I have been racing for them during the last 3 rounds of GP2 in 2012 and it was a great experience.

It is a small but very strong team and after the tests in Jerez it was quite clear for me that we are heading in the right direction, Of course, we are talking about the official feeder series of Formula 1 but my aim is to be fighting for championship points as soon as possible..."

Your engineers claimed that your race pace is pretty competitive yet … "There is still a lot of hard work ahead of me, but I fully believe in my team that together we can optimize my driving style in all areas and get the maximum from the tyres. Yes, my long runs are pretty ok, so I will now fully concentrate on my qualifying pace."

Your uncle was an F1 driver in the late 70ies when the sport was more risky, but less commercial. However, do you think you can follow his foot prints? "Yes, it is my goal but still far away.

I will hopefully get enough time to develop and I won't start dreaming about Formula 1 until I am competitive with the best drivers in GP2. The fascinating thing about the series is that you get a realistic chance as soon as you are in the top 3 of the championship."

The 2013 season race calender is the most impressive one in the history of GP2 including races in Malaysia, Bahrain, Singapore and Abu Dhabi… "I look forward to the season opener in Sepang as this track was always my favourite when I did some racing on my Playstation.

And, of course, I can't wait to get my first taste of the Mone Carlo street circuit. It is still hard to believe that I was there as spectator last year and now will come back as a racing driver."
