Pastor Maldonado to miss Istanbul race due to injury.

While preparations for the forthcoming GP2 Series event at Istanbul Park, (starting on August 26) were undergoing, Trident Racing received a very bad news regarding Pastor Maldonado. The Venezuelan driver was injured during his regular training program, as he broke one of his collarbones falling from his bicycle.

"This is a compound fracture" said Dr. Ceccarelli, who promptly assisted Maldonado, "that was also anayized by Dr. Vito Maiolino, who ruled out surgery. Pastor`s arm was fitted with an elastic bandage to block shoulder but, since this phase is very painful, we`ll need at least 20 days to know when he`ll be able to get back on-track. The recovery, which is very variable from person to person, will be monitored each week with x-rays, to keep having a global picture".

Trident Racing would like to wish Pastor a prompt and complete recovery. In the next days, the team will give communication about the name of his temporary replacement.
