This weekend, July 7 and 8, the Silverstone Circuit will host the 7th meeting of the 2012 GP2 Series, marking the start of the second half of the championship. On the legendary British circuit, drivers Nigel Melker and Victor Guerin hope to be able bring results into line with the team's potential: securing points will be the objective of the Portuguese team's two new members.

Until now, the job had not been easy in the F1 feeder series. Despite Ocean Racing Technology's competitiveness, external factors disrupted the team's plans, but its motivation and confidence were not altered. "I hope to finally make it into the Top 10," declared Nigel Melker, who, although a rookie in the championship and with the team, grows a bit more confident with each outing. "We have worked hard and the car is competitive. We did not have a bit of luck and I hope it will be on our side, that Silverstone will be a turning point for our season."

For Victor Guerin, the Silverstone meeting will be his fourth in the GP2 Series. "I have confidence in my engineer and in Ocean Racing Technology and I hope we will be able to secure a good result. I have raced three times in the GP2 Series, three times on very different circuits where the slightest incident has always had a very big impact on the final result. Now that we are getting back to normal, I hope that the fast circuits will shine on us," the Brazilian driver concluded.

The Silverstone races can be followed live on Sky Sports, Saturday, July 7 at 3:40 p.m. and Sunday, July 8, at 10:30 a.m.
