Nurburgring's qualifying not matching up with Coletti expectations

The pole position went to Stephane Richelmi (Dams) who was followed by team mate Marcus Ericsson.

Stefano Coletti could not harvest what he had hoped for in Nurburgring's qualifying (D) during the sixth round of the GP2 Series 2013.

The Monegasque driving for Team Rapax, current classification leader and fifth in free practice held this morning, ended qualifying in P13 (1'39.274). The pole position went to Stephane Richelmi (Dams) who was followed by team mate Marcus Ericsson.

Third spot of the grid for Robin Frijns (Hilmer Motorsport), while Felipe Nasr (Carlin) and Sam Bird (Russian Time) ended respectively in fifth and ninth place.

Stefano Coletti: "This morning's free practice did not go bad and I was hoping to build on that in qualifying. I hit traffic during my quickest lap and I was slowed down, but it would have been difficult to fight for the pole position in any case. Now I think I will have to put in a good recover tomorrow".

The weekend will continue tomorrow with the Feature Race, that will start at 15.40 (GMT+1), while the Sprint Race will follow on Sunday at 10.30. Both races will go live on Sky Sports F1 HD.
