NO FUN IN THE SUN BUT BIG THINGS EXPECTED THIS WEEKEND

Adam Carroll is hoping that this weekend can put to bed a frustrating start to the season and bring in some good results. Since Imola, Adam and his trainer have been sweating it out in Spain, where his team Racing Engineering is based, to try and get up to maximum fitness for the hot races ahead.

The 23 year old from Portadown in Northern Ireland felt that after a winter of typical British weather, a few days of hard training in the sun would improve his fitness and stamina for the warmer races to come.

"It was about 26 degrees and we spent a lot of time running on the beach and just getting used to working hard in higher temperatures. Imola was hot but I expect it may cool down a bit this weekend in Germany".

Despite a 'character building' start to Adam's season, the three time GP2 race winner is hoping he'll soon get back to previous form. Last year's race 2 at the Nurburgring was one of the highlights of the GP2 season, as Adam went from 22nd on the grid to 2nd by the chequered flag -- an unbelievable result in a race over just 30 minutes and with no pit-stops.

"I'm actually feeling really good before this weekend. The team has been working really hard to iron out the problems I've been experiencing. When we sort out the general set-up issues we'll be up there.

"Nurburgring is a really good circuit but it's quite tricky all round. There are a few technical bits too it and it's certainly not the easiest track that we visit throughout the season. But I've done well there before and I look forward to going well here again this weekend".
