A memorable weekend

Monza, 12 September -- Mirko Bortolotti's first season in GP3 ended on a high note with a podium finish for the Ferrari Driver Academy youngster in Monza. In yesterday's first race of this the eighth round of the series, he staged an incredible climb up the order and today in the second race, the Italian took his Addax Team car to second place behind the winner, Robert Wickens (Status Grand Prix) and ahead of Nico Muller (Jenzer Motorsport.)

In the second GP2 race, Jules Bianchi's Art Grand Prix car started from seventh on the grid and the Frenchman went on to finish fourth in this the penultimate round of the series. The race was won by Christian Vietoris (Racing Engineering,) with second and third going to Jerome D'Ambrosio (Dams) and Sam Bird (Art Grand Prix.) The Maranello academy's young French recruit will be back in action on 14 November at Abu Dhabi's Yas Marina Circuit for the final round of the season, on the same card as the final Formula 1 World Championship race.
