GONZALEZ CHALKS UP ANOTHER FINISH, BUT QUICK PIC'S TOO SICK

Arden's Istanbul weekend ended on a disappointing note in this morning's GP2 Series sprint race. Rodolfo Gonzalez made a bright start from 16th to climb as high as 12th in the early stages, but he was pushed into a spin that dropped him to 17th. He gained one place at the final corner, however, to finish where he'd started. For the Venezuelan, it was another small, important step on this year's steep learning curve.

Poor Charles Pic did not even take part. The Frenchman was taken ill overnight and was not fit to race. As a result, he has still to add to the 10 points he scored for winning the Barcelona season-opener earlier this month.

Rodolfo:

"This has been a bad weekend. My race pace was better today, but it is clear that we have a lot of work to do. I shall put Turkey behind me and look forward to Valencia."
