Ten of the thirteen GP2 Series teams testing in Jerez, Spain, this week will field International Formula Master (IFM) drivers as the first official GP2 Series post-season test session gets underway.

2009 IFM Champion Fabio Leimer is spending two days with Ocean Racing Technology, whilst Rookie Title winner Alexander Rossi is taking to the track with Piquet GP today and DAMS on Thursday.

Two of this season's IFM race winners Josef Kral and Vladimir Arabadzhiev are also present, with Kral sharing his testing time between Ocean Racing Technology and Piquet GP. Arabadzhiev is testing with the Piquet GP team too, as well as with DPR.

Both previous IFM Champions are taking part; 2007 title winner Jerome D'Ambrosio is testing with iSport International, ART Grand Prix and the Fat Burner Racing Engineering team over the course of the three-day test, whilst 2008 Champion Chris van der Drift will join the GP2 Series field on Thursday for a run with Piquet GP.

2007 IFM driver Johnny Cecotto is driving for Trident Racing today, with Series regular Filip Salaquarda replacing him at the team on Wednesday and Thursday. Fellow IFM regulars and former GP2 Asia team-mates Marcello Puglisi and Marco Bonanomi will also join the field on Thursday, driving for Durango and Party Poker SC respectively.
