PERSISTENT BUEMI ANNXES POINTS... AND A FRONT-ROW START

Sebastien Buemi predicted a possible points finish from 11th on the grid -- and he was as good as his word at the Hungaroring this afternoon. Overtaking is notoriously difficult at the Budapest circuit, but Buemi made a good start to gain two positions on the opening lap. He subsequently drove a quick, consistent race and capitalised on others' errors to move up to seventh at the flag. The result earned him two points... and a front-row start in tomorrow morning's sprint race.

Team-mate Luca Filippi also made good progress, but from 21st on the grid he was able to climb only to 15th.

Sebastien:

"It was a good race -- I'm happy with the result and I'm in a strong position for tomorrow. We had very good pit stops today, although I was a bit disappointed to come out behind Mike Conway. I was quicker than him and reckon I could have finished in the top five, but everyone knows it is difficult to overtake here. I don't think we could have wished for anything more today. The car felt better than it did during qualifying and we seem to be improving as the season goes on, so I'm looking forward to tomorrow."

Luca:

"It was tough starting at the back and we planned an aggressive strategy in an effort to compensate. The car was difficult to drive with a full fuel load, but it improved as the race went on. I don't think our lap times were too bad, but we still have to work hard to optimise the set-up."
