Neel Jani from 8th to 4th!

After celebrating his first victory in the GP2 Series, Racing Engineering's Neel Jani obtained an excellent 4th position in Saturday's sprint race at the Hungaroring. The Swiss scored the most points of any driver this weekend and this has allowed him to climb into 5th position in the overall championship standings. tRacing Engineering also moved up a position, occupying 5 h position in the team standings.

T h e Spanish squad, Racing Engineering, is leaving the Hungarian track with sweet memories. After an amazing win yesterday, the results were concluded by yet another great performance by Neel Jani. After an excellent start, where Neel overtook Kovalainen as well as Pantano, Neel found his race r h y t h m quickly. Keeping up with the high pressure from Kovalainen running behind the Racing Engineering driver, he crossed the finish line ahead of the championship leader thanks to his tenacity and quality of driving. Not forgetting the great reliability of his Racing Engineering car. Racing Engineering's progress during the last meetings was obvious, especially as Neel beat Kovalainen for the second time this weekend in a fair fight.

Short, however, was the race of Borja Garcia. The Spaniard lost his brakes during the 5th lap and went off the track. Fortunately this impact was without any physical damage. The eyes now are directed towards Turkey, where Borja should be able to repeat his great performance from the Hockenheimring.

At the end of a very successful weekend, Neel Jani said, "I had a perfect start on the dirty side of the track overtaking Kovalainen and Pantano. This was the base for today's race. Then I had to let Pantano pass. Today, again we tried out something new on the car and gained some interesting insights. I think I am the driver who scored the most points and that's a very positive balance of this weekend".

Borja Garcia explained, "not much to say today. I went off in lap 5 after losing my rear right brakes. We now have to find out what really caused this problem".

Alfonso de Orleáns-Borbón announced, "another great result for Neel. Starting from 8th, he really put on the pressure and was able to keep Kovalainen behind him. Good work this weekend from all the boys. I hope we keep on working in the same direction in Istanbul. Really well done to everyone in the team".
