HO-PIN TUNG AIMS AT REST OF THE SEASON

Despite hardly impressive results during this weekends' races at Hockenheim, this weekend, Dutch-Chinese racing driver Ho-Pin Tung is optimistic about the second half of the GP2-season. 'Especially when I look back on my first race on Saturday, there is every reason to having confidence in the second half of the season. I did lap times which should make a top ten position possible.' Unfortunately the young Chinese had an incident, making him losing a vital brake duct and forcing him to give up. Despite his DNF he is optimistic. 'I did very good lap times until the moment it went wrong.' In the second race, on Sunday, Ho-Pin Tung had to start from far behind, he made a poor start, but never the less he managed to overtake four fellow contenders in the first lap. 'Further in this race I was forced to get wide, went over the grass, due to incidents just in front of me, but I managed to finish the race with competitive lap times. Fourteenth was the best possible.' Ho-Pin Tung looks with grown confidence at the second half of the GP2-season and he thanks his team for the progress which have been made. 'The rest of the season should be better, no wonder, because the first half was disappointing. I am convinced that the positive development since Silverstone can be extended.'
