Hockenheim, 24 July -- The GP2 and GP3 runners are here in Hockenheim, taking part in the sixth and fifth round respectively of their championships and this afternoon, they took to the track for their first races on this busy race weekend, running alongside yet another round of the Formula 1 World Championship.

Jules Bianchi came home fifth in the GP2 race: having started from ninth on the grid, the Art Grand Prix racer and Ferrari Driver Academy student, made up four places, in a race won by current series leader, Pastor Maldonado (Rapax) from Sergio Perez (Barwa Addax Team) and Charles Pic (Arden International.) Another young hopeful of the Maranello nursery, Mirko Bortolotti, also finished in the points, picking up three for coming home sixth in an action packed GP3 race, which saw the Italian Addax Team driver move up from fifteenth to sixth place. On the top step of the podium was Robert Wickens (Status GP) followed by James Jakes (Manor Racing) and Renger Van der Zande (RCS Mucke Motorsport.)

The junior series will be back on track tomorrow for their second races, starting at 10.35.
