Breaking News: GP2 Test For Dutch Racedriver Nigel Melker (19) With Team Arden International.
Netherlands 22 September - Dutch racedriver Nigel Melker (19) will perform GP2 Series test with team Arden International. The winner of the bronze cup of the GP3 Series is undertaking important steps for the future.
The test will take place on the 28th and on the 29th of September on the track of Jerez which fits well in the busy season of Nigel since he still needs to perform in the 2 last races of the F3 Euroseries season in which he still makes a good chance to claim second place of the championship.
Nigel Melker: "It has been a very busy period for me to race in 2 different championships in which I have learned a lot and backed much experience. With 4 podiums in the GP3 Series championship I have also proven that I can win. I really look forward to work together with Team Arden International, their relation with the RedBull F1 team and the support of Christian Horner promises a lot of potential and speed. For me it's a logical choice to go to GP2 Series to finally make a step into Formula 1, but first I need to have more experience. I have no doubts, I know I can do it, it's just a matter of time and patience.
