GP2 racer Jolyon Palmer has been invited back to test for the Barwa Addax team in Barcelona next Wednesday (19 October), before joining Carlin the following day as testing for the F1 feeder series resumes.

The 20-year-old Briton enjoyed a productive outing with 2011 GP2 Team Champions Addax at the Jerez circuit two weeks ago, ending the day inside the top ten. Thursday will mark Jolyon's first experience with the Carlin team, who enjoyed an encouraging debut season in GP2 this year.

Jolyon, who put in a series of impressive performances during his rookie GP2 season in 2011 with Arden, said: "I'm happy to be back at Addax after a good run at Jerez and I'm looking forward to working with Carlin for the first time. They have proven themselves to be quick in their first season of GP2."

Official GP2 testing takes place on 19/20 October in Barcelona, Spain.
