Morning session P1 Ericsson – 1:29:705 P6 Dillmann – 1:30.025
Afternoon session P1 Dillmann -1:30:210 P10 Ericsson – 1:31.113
Day 1 of the two-day test in Barcelona resulted in both iSport drivers’ coming out top in the morning and afternoon sessions.
The morning session got off to a great start with Tom Dillmann setting the pace early on. Marcus Ericsson followed and became the first driver to break the 1:30 barrier. Ericsson was unbeaten throughout and ended the session in the top spot. GP3 graduate Tom Dillmann went from strength to strength and was quickest in the afternoon session, which involved a red flag after Rio Haryanto ended up stopping in the gravel.
Testing resumes tomorrow at 09:00 with Kuba Giermaziak taking to the iSport car, in his first GP2 run. Joining him will be Nigel Melker, who made his impressive debut testing in Jerez in September.
