Piccione secures GP2 Test with Durango

GP 2 prospect Clivio Piccione will test for 2004 International and F3000 Team Durango at Misano, Italy on the 12th November. The Italian based team will test Clivio as part of their driver evaluation programme for next season's GP2 Championship. After a strong season with Carlin Motorsport in the British F3 Championship, Clivio Piccione is one of the front runners for a seat in the newly formed GP2 series.

Clivio met with Ivone Pinton, Team Principle of the Durango Team, at the Monaco Grand Prix this year - Pinton has been following Clivio's progress with interest ever since. As soon as Durango's proposal for GP2 was accepted Ivone Pinton contacted Clivio to test:

Clivio says:

"After racing and winning in Formula 3 I'm hungry for success in GP2, the opportunity to test for Durango is very exciting and I can't wait to get in the car at Misano. I have been working hard on my fitness and feel I am in good shape, I will use this test to evaluate and get ready for driving with a top team during the 05 GP2 Series."
